The project increased involvement of citizens as well as NGOs in the auditing activities of the State Audit Office, improved civil participation in public finance management through various innovative methods and instruments.
Project outcomes:
- Analytical web-platform – „Budget Monitor“ has been designed to provide complex budget information to stakeholders (www.budgetmonitor.ge/en). With this, Budget Monitor kiosks were purchased and installed in the buildings of the Parliament of Georgia and the State Audit Office.
- Working meetings were held with the representatives of the Government and the Parliament of Georgia, representatives of civil and non-governmental organizations, media, students and academia.
- Knowledge sharing meeting were held from the side of the SAO with the representatives of the Court of Auditors of the Republic of Tunisia on Georgia’s Experience regarding citizen engagement.
