The State Audit Office participated in the Global Summit organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) discussing the impact of audits by the Supreme Audit Organizations hosted online by Norway.
The Global Summit is part of IDI’s new initiative - Facilitation of Audit Impact, to strengthen and share international experience. With this initiative, IDI promotes and supports strengthening of the values and benefits of higher audit institutions.
Representatives of the State Audit at the Global Summit shared with the international community their experiences on the impact of the audit and results of the implementation of recommendations. Summit participants were also introduced to the new communication platform – the Audit Recommendation Implementation System (ARIS) created and implemented by the SAO, which helps to increase the implementation of the issued recommendations and the impact of the audits.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the SAO: Tsotne Karkashadze, Head of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department, and Shota Jamburidze, Head of the Strategic Analysis DIvision.
