The representatives of the State Audit Office (SAO) participated in the international webinar hosted by the INTOSAI Development Initiative regarding the impact of SDGs preparedness audits.
SAO Georgia SDG audit team reviewed implementation of audit recommendations conducted in the scope of the Performance Audit of Preparedness for Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (2018-2019) and corresponding improvements on the national level. The SDG audit was facilitated by the IDI as a part of the cooperative audit of preparedness for implementation of 2030 Agenda (2017-2019).
Participants of the meeting also discussed IDI support mechanisms for Supreme Audit Institutions for better implementation of their SDG preparedness audit recommendations.
The State Audit Office of Georgia, was represented by Mr Tsotne Karkashadze – Head of State Budget and Strategic Analysis Departemtn, Mr Lasha Kelikhashvili – Head of State Budget Analysis Division, and Ms Nino Pruidze – Leading Budget Analyst.
