The Auditor General discussed prospective cooperation projects with the representative of the World Bank 19 December, 2022

The Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili had a working meeting with the Patrick Umah Tete, Senior Financial Management Specialist of the World Bank, who also heads the project.

Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili, introduced the progress of the "Technical Assistance Project of the European Union Economic Governance and Fiscal Accountability Program" existing at the State Audit Office with the support of the World Bank and the European Union and discussed prospective cooperation activities. 

Within the scope of the project, the parties discussed revenue audit, planning and risk assessment, manual creation, procedures and training needs, accounting of the tax revenues, revenue mobilization, and strengthening quality control in IT audits with involvement of the  experts in order to improve the audit methodological basis and quality control system.

Within the framework of the project, measures related to professional development of the auditors in IPSAS standards and auditing of consolidated financial statements of the government have also been planned.
