14 auditors of the State Audit Office participated in the pilot one-year professional education programme of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and have been awarded with international certificates of competence after passing the relevant examinations.
The professional excellence program entails advancing international practices and methodologies in conducting financial, compliance and performance audits.
Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili presented PESA-P Certificate of Competence and PESA-P Certificate of Appreciation to the auditors and their coaches.
Currently, the second phase of the programme continues with the PESA-P Special Edition for SAI Coaches, in which four auditors of the State Audit Office participate.
The participation of the State Audit Office was supported by the Programme Economic Governance and Fiscal Accountability (EGFAP) of the European Commission and the World Bank's technical assistance project.
