As part of the "Economic Governance and Fiscal Accountability Program" of the EU, 45 auditors and 6 IT auditor-interns underwent specialist training from EY to enhance their capabilities in information technology auditing.
The training sessions for auditors from audit departments interested in information technology audits took place at EY's offices in Georgia and Turkey.
Additionally, EY specialists provided consulting services to a group of auditors working on two pilot IT audits as part of the project.
A summary meeting was held by the Turkish and Georgian offices of EY at the State Audit Office of Georgia to review the project's results.
The meeting highlighted the full implementation of the agreement's measures and discussed future steps to strengthen the IT audit component.
