Tornike Shermadini, Head of the Economic Activities Audit Department, along with 64 professionals, participated in the intensive seven-day training of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), which was hosted in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
The training was attended by anti-corruption and compliance employees of the public or private sector from Austria, Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, Brazil, South Korea, Qatar, and 20 other countries.
The sessions encompassed a wide array of topics such as global legal frameworks, emerging technologies, ethics, and methodologies for detecting and identifying corruption. Among them, the role of artificial intelligence AI Evolutions in the anti-corruption field is noteworthy.
The training was led by practicing specialists and lectures from various leading organizations, such as the OECD, GRECO, Geneva School of Diplomacy, SOAS University of London, the Vienna’s Institute for Human Sciences, and the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Tornike Shermadini obtained full competitive funding for IACA. As a result of the successful completion of the training, he joined the IACA’s alumni network of anti-corruption and compliance professionals, which includes over 5,800 members from 168 countries.
