The State Audit Office (SAO) has been invited to join a new project of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) – SAI SDG Auditor Initiative, which will support SAIs in strengthening their professional capabilities to conduct high-quality and sustainable audits of SDGs Implementation.
Organized by the IDI and hosted by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the first working meeting was held in New York, from July 14-19 within the framework of the UN Annual High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). Nino Pruidze, Chief Budget Analyst of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department, as a member of a newly established global team, participated in the meeting The working meetings were focused on the issues related to the SDGs implementation audit and SAI SDG Auditors.
Within the framework of the meetings, IDI introduced an updated version of the SDGs Audit Model (ISAM), which serves as a practical instruction for SAIs for conducting audits of the global goals.
