Four auditors of the State Audit Office received the International Certificate of Competence PESA-P of the Professional Education Programme of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).
The program entails a one-year distance learning course and the completion of the relevant examination. In the training process, trainees are introduced to international standards, practices, and methodologies related to audits. Examination process for auditors has been supported by the World Bank's technical assistance project.
The PESA Certificate of Competence in Performance Audit has been awarded to Nino Lagvilava, Chief Auditor of the Performance Audit Department, and Anano Lomaia, Auditor of the Social Sector Audit Department. The PESA Certificate of Competence in Compliance Audit has been presented to Nino Shubitidze, Leading Auditor of the Social Sector Audit Department while Nino Tabagari, Auditor of the Social Sector Audit Department, has received the PESA Certificate of Competence in Financial Audit.
Deputy Auditor Generals Zaza Shekiladze and Sophio Dvalishvili presented PESA-P certificates to the employees of the SAO.
