Representatives of the State Audit Office held bilateral meetings with representatives of international organizations and Supreme Audit Institutions participating in the IDI Global Summit.
At the meeting with Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili and his Deputy Sophio Dvalishvili, IDI Director General Einar Gorissen and his Deputy Archana Shirsat expressed their gratitude to the State Audit Office for hosting the summit and for the active engagement of its representatives in IDI's initiatives. The guests also highlighted the significant contributions of the State Audit Office to the work of IDI, underscoring the value of the expert support provided. Both parties discussed potential areas for future collaboration.
The Heads of SAIs of Georgia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a bilateral meeting to explore opportunities for future cooperation, particularly in the field of audit practices sharing and digitalization. The SAIs of the two countries already have a history of cooperation, since Saudi Arabia has supported the State Audit Office in developing IT infrastructure in 2021.
During the meeting with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) representative Aranzazu Guillian Montero, the discussions focused on the results of audits related to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthening audit policies to support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda by updating digital technologies.
Representatives from the SAI Vietnam were interested in the experience of the State Audit Office and expressed their desire for future cooperation in areas such as audit practices, the monitoring of recommendations, quality control, and the use of electronic platforms in the auditing process.
