The State Audit Office (SAO) of Georgia, as a mentor of the GSAI project of INTOSAI IDI, is providing mentorship support to the Accounts Chamber of Tajikistan to enhance its institutional capacity.
During an IDI workshop held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on which were discussed issues related to the implementation of strategic plans, representatives from the SAO shared the best practices with the meeting participants and got information about the needs of the SAI of Tajikistan.
In 2025, the SAO will also provide mentorship to the Supreme Audit Institution of Tajikistan on audit quality control, state budget analysis, and monitoring the implementation of recommendations.
The State Audit Office was represented at the IDI workshop by Tsotne Karkashadze, Head of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department, and Giorgi Khitarishvili, Deputy Head of the Defense, Public Order and Security Audit Department.
The SAI Georgia was selected by IDI as a mentor to the Accounts Chamber of Tajikistan within the framework of the “Global Supreme Audit Institutions Accountability Initiative (GSAI)” project.
