The State Audit Office, as the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of the EU candidate country, participated in the meeting of the Contact Committee and the Network of SAIs of EU Candidate Countries, which was hosted by the SAI of Poland in Warsaw.
During the meeting of the Liaison Officers of the Network, participants discussed the key issues of the 2022-2025 work plan, the five-year performance audit development programme, initiatives supported by the SAI Sweden, including parallel audits, and the use of data analysis in the audit process.
This meeting of the Liaison Officers was an important preparatory event for the upcoming conference scheduled for the autumn, which will focus on competitiveness as a foundation for development.
At the meeting, the members of the Network reviewed the activities of various working groups within the Committee and the importance of cooperation. Additionally, a new framework for the Contact Committee community and the concept for a dedicated website were presented.
The meetings were attended by about 60 representatives of the EU Member States and Candidate Countries. The State Audit Office of Georgia was represented by Tsotne Karkashadze, the Head of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department and Nino Kereselidze, the Head of Donor Relations Division.
