A working meeting was convened at the SAO with representatives from the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), with the primary aim of discussing methodologies and strategies for integrating a gender-equality component into the Office’s audit procedures. The organisation has been collaborating with the Office since 2024, conducting a gender equality assessment. Based on the assessment, targeted activities have been planned to strengthen the role of women. UN Women representatives will also provide expert advisory support to the State Audit Office to incorporate gender equality dimension into its audit processes.
