Auditors of the State Audit Office received PESA-P international certificates from INTOSAI IDI 05 November, 2025

Deputy Auditor Generals Sophio Dvalishvili and Giorgi Badashvili met with the auditors engaged in the pilot of a one-year Professional Education Programme for SAI Auditors of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI)and awarded PESA-P Certificate of Competence with congratulations.

In 2025, 10 employees of the State Audit Office completed Professional Education for SAI Auditors - Pilot (PESA-P). The auditors received certificates in various training areas: 6 auditors are certified in Performance Audit, 3 auditors in Compliance Audit, and one auditor certified in Financial Audit.

The aim of PESA is to improve qualifications of public sector auditors in the field of international standards, financial, compliance and performance audits of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs). The programme entails a one-year distance training course and upon successful completion of the programme, the auditor is awarded a certificate confirming professional development.

The State Audit Office has been involved in the PESA P project of INTOSAI IDI since 2021. 23 state auditors have obtained the international certificate confirming PESA competence.

PESA is the only certification programme for public sector auditors that is recognized worldwide.
