On June 14, 2017, an international conference, organized by the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, dedicated to the strengthening the role of Supreme Audit Institutions in the improvement of the good financial governance was held in Kiev.
Marika Natsvlishvili, Head of the State Budget Analysis and Strategic Planning Department of the State Audit Office presented a report at the conference, which was attended by the international experts, the representatives of various SAIs and civil society organizations.
"Strength of the supreme audit institution is reflected in two key characteristics – in the quality of its independence and professionalism, though an effective communication strategy is very important for the implementation of findings and changes," said Marika Natsvlishvili in her speech "the communications between the supervisor and the Parliament. Transformation of the SAO, difficulties and improvement of communication are also very important".
The conference was presented by the innovative web-platform of the State Audit Office - "Budget Monitor", which was assessed by the audience as "one of the mechanisms of successful communication with stakeholders."
