Today, On February 26, in German House, Performance Audit Department of the State Audit Office presented procurement system performance audit report to the representatives of the Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee of Georgia.
Auditor General Lasha Tordia, German expert Horst-Raimund Wulle and Chair of the Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee of Georgia Davit Onofrishvili attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the results of the procurement system performance audit recommendations made by the State Audit Office.
MPs expressed their opinion in regard of these problems. Transparency of the procurement process and importance of further development in order to the Georgian procurement system to become more efficient, were also considered at the meeting.
