Today, on July 21, the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili held the meeting with the President of the Supreme Audit Institution of Germany Kay Scheller and Auditor-General of the State Audit Office of Georgia Lasha Tordia.
At the meeting with the President, the parties discussed basic directions of the cooperation between the State Audit Office of Georgia and the Supreme Audit Institution of Germany as well as activity, achievements and current challenges of the State Audit Office.
The parties noted at the meeting that the Twinning program of the state agencies will promote the institutional development of the State Audit Office of Georgia.
Twinning program of the state agencies is the tool of the cooperation between the EU- member and beneficiary states. Currently, within the framework of the program, the project -- “Institutional development of the State Audit Office of Georgia” is being implemented, which is carried out by the Supreme Audit Institutions of Germany and Poland in cooperation with the State Audit Office of Georgia.
