In the scope of the Eastern Partnership project, performance audit training was conducted in Batumi for the representatives of SAIs from Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Armenia.
Within the four-day training program, auditors discussed the principles of performance audit, international standards of supreme audit institutions, selection of performance audit topics, planning and execution of preliminary studies, types of data analysis, development of audit report and the implementation of performance audit recommendations.
Representatives of the State Audit Office of Georgia shared the experience of conducting performance audit with the auditors of the supreme audit institutions of the Eastern Partnership countries. In addition to theoretical training, the trainees made practical tasks as well.
The training program was led by Sophio Dvalishvili, Head of Defense, Public Order and Security Audit Department of the State Audit Office.
The training was held within the framework of the GIZ Program – “Strengthening the capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Eastern Partnership countries”.
