The State Audit Office expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased people and on the natural disaster that took place in Tbilisi on June 13-14. Due to this disaster, the State Audit Office ceases all the planned business trips and significantly reduces administrative costs.
The Office allocates GEL 50 000 from its own budget to provide assistance to the victims. Proceeding from the fact that the most part of the governmental structures are involved in the disaster liquidation activities, the State Audit Office temporarily stops performance of audits at the audittees during this week.
Moreover, “employees of the State Audit Office are in involved as volunteers in providing assistance to victims,” state Auditor General Lasha Tordia.
