the conference “Technologies for civic engagement” 13 September, 2016

On September 13, within the framework of TransparenCEE, organized by Europe Foundation and partner organizations TechSoup and ePaństwo Foundation, the conference “Technologies for civic engagement” took place.

During the conference, participants discussed the capabilities of modern technologies and increasing impact of civil activity.  Representatives working in this direction, from Central and Eastern Europe, shared their experience and held presentations on the following issues: Fact-Check, transparent local budgets, fact-based advocacy, transparent state procurement, publicity of assets’ declarations, investigative journalism and other.

The conference was attended by three representatives of the State Audit Office, who work on the project “Increase of civic engagement in audit process”, which has been implementing in the State Audit Office. The analytical web-platform – “Budget’s monitor”, which serves for the civic active engagement and transparency increase, has already been created within the framework of the project.
