The State Audit Office presented performance audit report on the medical emergency system at the joint session of the parliamentary Healthcare and Social Issues Committee and working group of the Budget and Finance Committee reviewing SAO’s reports.
The report provides gaps and deficiencies identified in the medical emergency system, as well as the findings and recommendations developed by the State Audit Office to improve the system\'s performance.
The meeting of the working group was attended by the specific responsible bodies, including the Deputy Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Zaza Sopromadze and heads of LEPL "Tbilisi Medical Emergency Center", Emergency Situations Coordination and Regime Department, LEPL 112.
Team Leader Ketevan Mtsuravishvili presented performance audit report on the medical emergency system, introduced the audit findings to the participants of the meeting and provided them with information about the recommendations developed by the SAO.
The meeting was attended by the Deputies Auditor General Eka Ghazadze and Davit Gogichaishvili and Head of Performance Audit Department Irakli Tsitsilashvili.
Working group of the Budget and Finance Committee reviewing SAO’s reports will prepare a draft resolution in the near future where recommendations issued by the State Audit Office will be reflected and forwarded to the relevant auditees for further response.
