The State Audit Office will conduct a joint audit with the Eastern Partnership countries 11 October, 2019

Within the framework of the Eastern Partnership project, the meeting among the Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions of Georgia, Ukraine, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia and Belarus was held in Kiev.

Auditor Generals of the five countries discussed a joint plan for conducting a parallel audit on tuberculosis treatment and prevention.

Georgia and Azerbaijan presented the results of a pre-study on the topic and shared their experiences with the parties involved in the international audit.

The first parallel audit is being conducted within the framework of GIZ regional project "Strengthening the capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Eastern Partnership Countries (EaP) to monitor the achievement of Agenda 2030 objectives”. The decision to conduct joint audits and select topics was taken in July, at the conference held in Tbilisi.

Within the framework of the visit, the Auditor Generals of Ukraine and Georgia, Valery Patskan and Irakli Mekvabishvili held a face-to-face meeting and agreed to share experiences and expand cooperation. Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili also visited the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, where he met with newly elected Chairman, Dmytro Razumkov and Chairman of the Budget Committee, Yuri Aristov.
