The State Audit Office shares experience with Eastern Partnership countries. Head of Economic Activities Audit Department, Tornike Shermadini conducted financial audit training for the staff of the Accounting Chamber of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Participants in the four-day course discussed financial audit planning and scale identification, joint audit strategy, financial reporting, fraud risk assessment, analytical procedures, and audit recommendations.
The training was held within the framework of the “Strengthening the capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Eastern Partnership countries to monitor the achievement of Agenda 2030 objectives” project, with the support of GIZ.
Within the framework of the same project, in September of the current year, performance audit training was held for the representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Georgia, Ukraine, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus and Republic of Armenia in Batumi. The training program was led by the head of Defense, Public Order and Security Audit Department, Sophio Dvalishvili.
