Today, on January 26, Auditor General of the State Audit Office Lasha Tordia met with the representatives of the Seimas Audit Committee representatives.
Within the framework of the visit, the parties discussed the practice of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania concerning review of audit findings. Namely, the issue of the discussion was review of audit reports and follow up format, monitoring of audit findings and recommendations and etc.
As Auditor General Lasha Tordia noted, working group, which is responsible for the monitoring of the implementation of audit findings and recommendations, has been created in the Parliament of Georgia by the initiative of the State Audit Office. The same practice is being implemented in various European countries as well.
The meeting was also attended by the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Tamaz Mechiauri and Deputy Chair of the Committee Nodar Ebanoidze.
