STATE AUDIT OFFICE OF GEORGIA

Mariam Zaalishvili, Head of the Social Sector Audit Department at the State Office of Georgia, has conducted a performance audit training for internal auditors of the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Training Center of Justice.

The participants underwent professional training sessions offered by the SAO together with the Public Audit Institute and passed the midterm exam. The internship period for them has been extended, and they will continue their audit practice for an additional six months.

The Sides shared its experience related to the audit of the government consolidated financial statements, performance audit, audit quality management, state budget execution, revenue audits and climate scanner audits.

The session of the Standing Working Group on Audit Reports in the Parliament discussed the Audit Report on Promoting the Development of High-Performance Sports and the Compliance Audit Report on the capital and administrative expenses of the National Bank of Georgia.

Within the framework of the INTOSAI IDI project “Global Supreme Audit Institutions Accountability Initiative (GSAI)”, the State Audit Office of Georgia, as a mentor, hosted representatives of the Accounts Chamber of Tajikistan.
